3.8.2.DK-viii.2 Educational and vocational guidance (Uddannelses- og erhvervsvejledning)
3.8.2.1. Aim
To enable people to receive educational and vocational guidance to promote their subsequent integration into working life.
3.8.2.2. Legal basis
The Act on Educational and Vocational Guidance - Act 276 of 10 June 1981
3.8.2.3. Contents
Guidance shall be given with due regard to the personal quali-fica-tions of the individual and to his/her future employment pro-spects. Its purpose is to ensure that the person concerned obtains a satisfactory educational basis and position in working life.
3.8.2.4. Institutional support
Educational and vocational guidance is given by the public employ-ment service, by schools and other educational institutions and by other authorities and institutions.
A Council for Educational and Vocational Guidance has been set up for the purpose of contributing to the development and coordina-tion of guidance activities and preparing proposals on matters relating to such guidance.
In each region a committee has been set up to coordinate regional guidance activities concerning education/training, and industrial and labour market matters.
