3.6.6.GR-vi.6 Grants to firms employing drug addicts
3.6.6.1. Target group
Drug addicts.
3.6.6.2. Legal basis
Law 1262/82, § 29, as extended by § 8 of Law 1545/85 and amended by Law 1836/89 and Law 2434/96.
3.6.6.3. Contents
Subsidies of GRD 7,000 daily for the first year of the programme, GRD 7,500 for the second and GRD 8,500 for the third year. All employers receive a daily subsidy of GRD 5,500 for 36 months for part-time employment.
Applicants will only be admitted to the programme if they have shown a clear intention to "help themselves". The programme for young entrepreneurs also provides grants of between GRD 1,200,000 and GRD 1,800,000 to drug addicts.
During the first three months of employment of a drug addict, which is considered a familiarisation period, the employer receives an additional payment of GRD 300,000.
